Pastor Norman Quintero: A Life Of Service

When one mentions the name of this pastor, a vivid image of a man who has been running afoul of the law and yet preaches motivational sermons as his church are conjured in mind. Naturally, the pastor in question is none other than Pastor Norman Quintero.

He has a rather colourful history, often running into trouble with law enforcement on battery charges, property mismanagement, false claims to buildings, and more. But he is a ‘self-proclaimed’ pastor, and as such, gives services that draw crowds for the self-love and belief messages embedded in them. With a long history of community service and activism in Florida and California, he is known for uplifting people from poverty and leading drives for Puerto Rican children.

If you were curious to know the man behind the persona, here is a small peek into the life of one Pastor Norman Quintero.

Brief history

Dr. Norman Quintero was born on the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. He is a holder of 2 doctorate degrees. Among his colourful portfolio are the following:

    • Licensed real estate broker in California and Florida
    • Mental Health clinician based in California
    • Radio host and television network regular in Hispanic channels
    • Senior pastor in Iglesia Getsemani in Orange County, California

With this lively hat of feathers, it is no wonder that he is seen as a contradictory character. Even though he is well-respected in his community and his church, he has earned some ire for getting into trouble with the law.

The trouble with law enforcement

Most of his woes began when he announced the intention to run for Congress in November 2020. But, unfortunately, the attention he drew as a candidate was not entirely in his favour.

Allegations of stalking and assault from back in 2012 emerged in a lawsuit filed against him. This led to a rigorous investigation into these charges, and as it was, luck ran out for the would-be Congressman.

He was ruled as occupying a property for his service illegally and under false papers claiming he owned the place. In March 2021, he was arrested by the attorney’s office, Orange County, California.

Despite all the bad press and subsequent arrests, Quintero is still pretty popular among his community. However, he is currently facing trial on illegal squatting charges and could face jail time for the charges against him.
